When I was twelve years old, I gave my life to Christ at Quaker Haven Church Camp. I was very fortunate to have been raised in a Christian home, but realized that I needed to make that choice to ask God to be my Savior myself. Through the years, I have gone through many ups and downs in my Christian walk. But, even during some “questioning” times, I’ve learned that God has everything in His hands, and everything under control. My favorite verse is Psalm 116: 1&2, “I love the Lord because He hears my prayers and answers them. He bends down and listens. I will pray as long as I live.” God has also been stressing a song by Casting Crowns in my life. The lyrics are, “How refreshing to know You don’t need me. How amazing to find that You want me!” Isn’t it amazing that the God of the universe wants to hang out with you and me?! God wants us to bring everything to Him in prayer, regardless of the size of the requests. He wants to talk with us every day. God wants to use you and me for His kingdom. God doesn’t need us or our help to do anything! Yet, He chooses you and me, in our daily lives, to fulfill His work. Why? His grace and love are so amazing, and His faithfulness is indescribable. I know I am in His hands. My goal is to have God smile and “sign” His name at the end of each day in hopes of glorifying Him.
