I grew up the son of a United Methodist Minister in Northwest Ohio. I attended IWU and graduated with a degree in Biblical Literature and a minor in Criminal Justice. I went on to matriculate at Asbury Theological Seminary, where I obtained a Masters of Arts and Doctorate of Philosophy in Biblical Studies. I am married to Ginny, who is also an Alumni, and we have a daughter Maddox. Currently, I live outside of Richmond KY.

My areas of interest include the Old Testament, biblical archaeology, Biblical Hebrew, ancient history, and ancient historiography.
